Hide and Seek

Hide and Seek is a classic game, with a thousand variations. Like any classic game, it can be used to teach as well as delight. In the video clip below, you are watching a dad hide a stretchy snake in a metal candy box--one of four boxes. His daughter asks "Is it here?" He shakes his head "no" or nods "yes". You can use the clip to show your child how to play this game (the clip is a video model) and then play the game to teach your child how to ask the question and/or how to read the non-verbal yes or no. For more yes/no games, go to this page on Autism Games website.
