Here is a fun site to explore with your child:
On this site, you can put elephant heads on zebra bodies and add giraffe feet. In addition to working on flexible thinking (for some children with autism mix and match animals are just not right!) and original language use "We will call this a Zebraphant" the game can extend to thinking about about where the newly created animal would live and what it would eat and what relationship it might have with cousins who are more conventional animals.
The photo was taken by my daughter, Serene, in Portugal.
